Maya Simmons, MSN, FNP-BC

Maya Simmons is a native Charlottean. She earned her undergraduate degree from North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, NC with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She received her Nurse Practitioner degree from Winston Salem State University.  Maya is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She has worked in a variety of areas throughout her nursing career ranging from oncology, critical care, school health, and family practice. Maya is excited to be a part of the Carolina Asthma and Allergy Center team. She can relate to her patients, as she has her own personal experience with both asthma and allergies. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing competitive kickball, working out, trying new restaurants, and traveling.
