My son’s pediatrician referred us to Carolina Asthma and Allergy Center because Jordan was constantly congested with and cough and wheezing. He was using his nebulizer too frequently. When we first met with Dr. Norris he was friendly and made sure my son felt comfortable during the allergy testing procedure. He also spoke in a manner that let me know he actually cared and would his best to make sure Jordan would be able to run and play like other kids. The care at CAAC has always been top notch, even when we had an issue with our health insurance company they still continued to work with us.
My son Jordan has always been very active and loves playing outside, but his asthma caused him to miss out on a lot of outdoor activities because he could not breathe properly and we was using his inhaler more than he wanted to. Since becoming a patient Jordan has thrived. He has not used his nebulizer in 5 years. He is able to run and play with the other kids and most importantly he has learned to recognize the triggers that may affect his breathing. To this day, I cannot thank everyone at the Eastover office enough. They have always treated us kindly. No matter what the problem I brought up -from rhinitis to asthma-, they really worked hard to resolve it.
I would definitely recommend CAAC to others because it has changed my son’s life. He can actually be a kid and not feel left out on the sidelines due to his asthma. It may seem scary when you first hear about the allergy shots, but believe me…in the end it’s totally worth it.
