Important Notice Regarding Temporary Technical Issues
Carolina Asthma & Allergy Center recently experienced a cybersecurity incident that was discovered on August 26. We are actively investigating the incident with the assistance of external cybersecurity experts and are continuing to take appropriate steps to securely restore and validate our systems. No personal health or other confidential information was obtained during the incident and our systems are now secure.
As part of this recovery process, some of our technology systems have been temporarily impacted. This has resulted in intermittent issues with our telephone systems and other IT connectivity during the past week. We recognize the inconvenience this may cause and sincerely apologize for any difficulty you may experience reaching us. Our recovery efforts are progressing, and we expect our systems to return to normal operations soon.

RagweedPigweedCedarElmMulberryDr. Lapuente received his undergraduate degree from University of Memphis where he also played college soccer. He attended medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed his internship and residency at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Brenner Children’s Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC. He then finished a fellowship at University of Missouri, Kansas City, The Children’s Mercy Hospital, where his area of research focused on exhaled nitric oxide.
Dr. Lapuente has passion for educating his patients so that they can better understand their clinical diagnosis.
Prior to working at Carolina Asthma and Allergy Center (CAAC), Dr. Lapuente was in private practice in upstate New York. He moved south in 2005 and joined CAAC. For fun, he enjoys hiking.
