Biography

Dr. Shah is a board certified physician specializing in Adult & Pediatric allergy & immunology. She is a local to Charlotte, and completed her undergraduate degree in Biology with a concentration in pre-medical studies from University of North Carolina at Charlotte. While she was getting her undergraduate degree, she was commended to the Dean’s list and graduated with honors. She was also recognized in the Beta Beta Beta, a National Biological Honors Society. While in medical school, she was recognized as a member of Sigma Sigma Phi, an Honorary Fraternity. She then did her Internal Medicine Residency at Jefferson Health System of NJ and Allergy & Immunology fellowship from Nova Southeastern University in Miami, Florida. She then practiced in New York for 6 years after which she decided to move back to Charlotte to be close to her family.

Dr. Shah has been involved in research since her undergraduate days and is very well published. She has authored and co-authored multiple journal articles. Dr. Shah is also a corresponding author of the 4th, 5th, and 6th editions of the Allergy & Immunology board-review book which is read by all physicians certifying and re-certifying for the Allergy & immunology boards. In her free time she loves listening to music, singing, exercising, and spending time with her husband and three children.

With a focus on allergic rhinitis, food allergies, food desensitization, asthma, eczema, and urticaria, she tailors her approach to suit each patient’s unique needs. Renowned for her compassionate and individualized patient care, Dr. Shah believes in the power of educating her patients about their conditions, thus empowering them to be active participants in their healthcare journey.
