After graduating with her Associate of Science in Nursing, Courtney moved to Charlotte, NC and began her nursing career as a registered nurse working in pediatric home care. One year later, she was hired into Levine Children’s Hospital where she had the pleasure to specialize in orthopedic/trauma, neurosurgery, cystic fibrosis, and general surgery, among various other populations. During her first year with Levine Children’s, Courtney worked toward completing her undergraduate degree which she obtained from University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Upon completion of her degree, she was promoted to Clinical Supervisor and spent the remainder of her time at Levine Children’s in a leadership role, while continuing to enjoy her role as a patient advocate and caregiver. Courtney earned her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of South Alabama, becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner in December 2018.
Courtney joined Carolina Asthma and Allergy Center in November 2019. She has enjoyed getting to know this patient population and she views every patient encounter as an opportunity to make a connection. She is deeply devoted to patient education and ensuring every patient has a good understanding of their diagnosis and treatment plan. She looks forward to meeting new patients and building long-term relationships.
When she is not working, Courtney enjoys spending time with her husband doing just about anything. She has a beautiful stepdaughter and two rotten chihuahuas. She loves cooking, traveling, and anything and everything that has to do with Disney.
