Carolina Asthma & Allergy Center’s Dr. Roopen Patel recently appeared on Fox News 46, discussing how the early allergy season can interact with the flu to produce asthma attacks.

“If you get flu, that’s a reason to get an asthma attack, excess pollen can trigger an asthma attack. Add the two together, now you have this synergistic action occurring in their lungs,” says Dr. Patel.
