RagweedCedarHickoryKristen earned her associate degree in nursing from SUNY Broome and became a Registered Nurse in 2017. She began her career in medical-surgical nursing before transitioning in 2020 to Neuro-Interventional Radiology, where she was also a member of the Stroke Response Team. While working as a nurse, she completed her bachelor’s degree at Chamberlain University in 2020 and continued to a Nurse Practitioner program. In 2023, she graduated summa cum laude from SUNY Binghamton University as a Family Nurse Practitioner and is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Following graduation, Kristen relocated from her native home of Upstate New York to the Charlotte area, where she began her Nurse Practitioner career in pulmonology, primarily caring for patients with severe asthma and COPD. She is now excited to join Carolina Asthma and Allergy in 2025 where she looks forward to building lasting patient relationships and expanding her expertise in the field.
Outside of work, Kristen enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Scott, and their golden retriever, Bodie, often out on their boat on Lake Wylie. She also loves cooking, baking, and the occasional binge of a great show. A dedicated sports fan, she cheers on the New York Giants (and the Buffalo Bills for her fiancés sake) as well as Duke Basketball.
