Peanut Allergy
So, you or a family member have peanut allergy? You are not alone. More than 3 million people in the United States report being allergic to peanut, tree nuts, or both. Peanut allergy affects approximately 1.2% of children. Since 1997, the percentage of children with peanut allergy has more than doubled in the United States.

Nonallergic Rhinitis
Do you have a runny or stuffy nose that won't get better, or do these symptoms come back repeatedly? If so, you may have nonallergic rhinitis. If you do have rhinitis, the lining of your nose swells due to expanding blood vessels. The mucus glands in your nose get stimulated, causing a congested, drippy nose.

Vocal Cord Dysfunction
Many people with VCD may be misdiagnosed with asthma and treated with asthma medications. Since VCD is not asthma, little or no improvement is seen in symptoms with these edications, but significant side effects can develop with long-term use of these medicines. Misdiagnosis of VCD as asthma can also lead to frequent and unnecessary emergency room visits and hospitalizations.

Hives
First off, are you sure that they’re really hives? True hives are red, itchy, usually raised lesions that look very much like mosquito bites. They are often round or oval but can be irregularly shaped. Their size may vary from ¼ inch to several inches in diameter. They may blend together. Each spot lasts anywhere from 4-36 hours and is surrounded by normal looking skin.
