Dr. Patel joined Carolina Asthma and Allergy Center in November 2007. He is a native of Cleveland, OH. He attended the accelerated combined BS/MD program at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in Rootstown Ohio in conjunction with Kent State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. Dr. Patel completed his residency training in Internal Medicine and additional fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology (adults and children) at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL.
Dr. Patel is board certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology and the American College of Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology. He has published scientific papers in the field of asthma and allergies.
Dr. Patel enjoys working closely with patients of all ages and educating them about a range of conditions including allergies, asthma, and sinus problems. In his free time, he likes traveling with his wife and two sons as well as playing golf and basketball.
